Presstek Announces Resignation of Lasertel President & CEO
Press release from the issuing company
HUDSON, N.H., Oct. 12 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading provider of direct digital imaging technology, today announced the resignation of Lasertel, Inc.'s president and chief executive officer Thomas Dearmin, effective October 20, 2001.
Mr. Dearmin will serve as a consultant to Lasertel over the coming year and will assist, as needed, in identifying opportunistic sales in other areas. The company indicated that Mr. Dearmin's resignation is consistent with Presstek's recent decision to curtail proactive sales activity beyond the graphic arts industry for the time being, while holding open the prospect for outside sales growth when the economy and global uncertainties become better defined. Presstek's president and CEO, Robert Hallman, will fill the vacated position and Bernard Walik, Lasertel's chief operating officer, will report directly to him.
Robert Hallman said, "Tom Dearmin's efforts in putting together Lasertel during Presstek's hour of need were exceptional. Further, Tom has assembled a valuable team that will serve Lasertel and Presstek now and into the future.''
