Quark Recognizes Long-Term Development Partners

Press release from the issuing company

SAN FRANCISCO - September 24, 2001 - Quark Inc. today honored 24 "GoldenPartner" XTensions developers in recognition of their decade of commitment to the XTensions Developer Program. This year's GoldenPartner XTensions developers were some of the first members of what is now a mature community that continues to grow in service of the Quark customer base. "Year after year, our developer community adds to the vast selection of powerful XTensions software for Quark products," said Lauren Strand, XTensions program manager at Quark. "They've delivered countless solutions that have evolved alongside QuarkXPress in response to ever-changing industry demands." "The past decade has seen many highs and lows for the technology industry, but Quark has been steadfast and constant in delivering best-of-breed products that are innovative and geared toward fulfilling end users' requests," said Donal O'Connor of CompuSense Ltd. "We're proud to be associated with Quark in helping to deliver solutions to our mutual customers and we look forward to continuing this long and prosperous relationship." "Thanks to the XTensions developers program, Layout has been able to extend QuarkXPress with tools like the award-winning ArabicXT and become the leading software developer for the Arabic publishing industry," said Bader Khneysser of Layout Ltd. "We'd like to thank the Quark XTensions program team for their ongoing collaboration and continuous support of our achievements." Custom tools for any publishing workflow XTensions modules are add-on software that enhance Quark products. There are now more than 500 commercially available XTensions that augment the capabilities of QuarkXPress, delivering vital niche solutions to Quark's customers. The XTensions technology was developed with the understanding that it is impossible for a single tool to fulfill all the demands of every publishing workflow. XTensions software can be developed to meet the general needs of hundreds of companies or the more specialized needs of a single organization.
