NAPL Publishes New Pocket University Book Series, Up-to-Date Info at a Glance

CHICAGO, IL, September 6, 2001 – In time for PRINT 01, the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) has announced the publication of a new series of convenient pocket-sized reference books, entitled the Pocket University Book Series, each of which clearly and succinctly explains a specific, fundamental printing-related process. Conceived and developed by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Professor Frank Romano, the series covers 34 essential topics in all.
"From novice designer, to CSR, to sales pro, to seasoned printer, these books should be in every printing house, service bureau, and design firm," said Professor Romano, who is chair of RIT’s School of Printing. "We’ve put these books together to make the new world of print clear and accessible to everyone in the industry."
Created for anyone with an interest in printing and the graphic arts, NAPL’s Pocket University books include the following titles: PostScript, Fonts, EPS, TIFF, PDF, QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop, HTML, XML, Digital Photography, Images, File Formats, Scanning, Preflighting, RIPS, Dot Gain, Trapping, Imposition, Windows, MacOS, Workflow, Digital Printing, Variable Data Printing, DI Presses, Paper, Binding and Finishing, E-business, Record Media, Digital Asset Management, Presses and Printing, Basic Color, Color Management, and Proofing.
