OneVision Software AG Takes Over Assets and Know-how from LSZ GmbH
Press release from the issuing company
Regensburg - Hanover, Germany (September 10, 2001) OneVision Software AG and LSZ GmbH Hanover have reached agreement regarding the transfer of software products and development know-how. Effective from October 1st 2001, OneVision shall take over the complete range of LSZ Software and shall also provide software maintenance and updates to the maintenance customers. At the same time, the existing LSZ developer team shall join OneVision and establish OneVision‚s development center in Hanover. With this acquisition, OneVision outlines its dominance in the market in the area of check and refining software.
LSZ GmbH started in 1977 as a service company in the layout and print area and then specialized in software development and corresponding services such as consulting, support and training for the graphic industries. The wide ranging know how and experience of LSZ is particularly reflected today in the successful market presence of the main product PS-Butler as well as its other products and specialized developments. LSZ GmbH shall continue to exist as a consulting company offering their extensive industry know-how.
With this acquisition of product-range and know-how of their current competitor LSZ, OneVision has gained additional growth potential. In future, OneVision shall provide the existing customers of both companies even faster with new and enhanced software solutions and services. Additionally OneVision plans to extend the current customer base and to enter new market segments.
For Mr. August-Wilhelm Klages, LSZ shareholder and managing director, two factors were of significant importance in making him take this decision: the continuity in providing service and support to the existing user community of LSZ and securing future development for the existing product and service portfolio. By utilizing the synergy of the strong and global sales organization of OneVision, Mr. Klages expects to achieve an even broader distribution of existing LSZ-products.
