Indigo to Unveil Digital Presses in Spectacular 15,000-Sq-Ft Pavilion

Press release from the issuing company

Maastricht, The Netherlands, August 9, 2001 – Indigo N.V. (NASDAQ:INDG), a world leader in digital color printing systems, has announced that its latest Digital Offset Color presses - the Platinum and the Publisher 4000 - will make their worldwide premieres at PRINT 01 in Chicago next month. The new Platinum brings the benefits of extremely high image quality at a best-in-class price to commercial printers, trade shops, in-plants and quick printers. The Platinum features Image Tracking Technology, a remarkable new Indigo laser writing capability that, says Indigo Chairman and CEO Benny Landa, "enables users to enjoy breathtaking, luxurious image quality at a very affordable price." The Publisher 4000 is a twin-engine web-fed press that delivers the power of Indigo Digital Offset Color printing to the mid-volume commercial printing, publishing and direct mail markets at fantastic speeds: 4000 4-color A3 images per hour, or 136 letter-size pages per minute, on even the lightest-weight paper stocks. "At these incredible speeds," added Mr. Landa, "and with offset quality that only ink-on-paper can deliver, the Publisher 4000 is the future of color – and it’s here now." Both the Platinum and Publisher 4000 will be featured in a dazzling new product arcade, along with other advanced Indigo Digital Offset Color presses – including the high-speed, high-volume UltraStream 2000 for mainstream commercial printing; the popular low cost e-Print Pro+ for short-run, on-demand printing; the Omnius WebStream for labels and packaging; and the MultiStream for specialty printing. In addition, Indigo’s digital photo studio will showcase the six-color Photo-e-Print, which produces 12"x18" portraits of breathtaking photographic quality in seconds from flash to print. Indigo’s expansive pavilion also includes a 100-seat theater offering live hourly presentations. To complete the picture, Indigo will be hosting a number of Indigo Partner Companies on its stand, including PageFlex, Paspartoo, Print Channel, Atlas Software, TechnoDesign, Banta, PrintSoft, Printable, and Data Logics. These companies complement Indigo’s digital presses with capabilities ranging from Internet and e-commerce services, to direct-mail applications, personalized authoring and finishing capabilities.
