AMT Launches Web-Based Lease Administration & Document Management System

Press release from the issuing company

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 29 - Asset Management Technologies (AMT), a leading provider of lease administration technology for commercial real estate firms, landlords and corporate and retail tenants, has introduced AMTdirect, a powerful, affordable and user-friendly system that gives clients secure access to their data at any time from anywhere over the Internet. "Today's real estate market is a fast-paced, competitive world where superior knowledge is the winning edge,'' said Scott Schubert, President and CEO of AMT. "AMTdirect puts your lease information in a secure Internet vault that gives your staff instant access plus powerful search and workflow capabilities that let you find what you need, when you need it, with just a few mouse clicks. This is exactly why Lincoln Property Company is adopting our technology.'' AMT was founded in 1996 to give property management firms access to tools and services designed to deliver on the promise of advanced real estate accounting systems. In just five years, AMT has implemented and converted more than 2,000 retail, office and industrial properties to a variety of commercial real estate accounting systems, including MRI, CTI, Skyline, Yardi and JDEdwards. AMT has provided more than 8,000 hours of client training on the MRI system alone. AMT also has audited, abstracted and implemented more than 30,000 leases for clients, including some of the nation's largest and most respected commercial property management companies. "We like their business model. They have extensive experience in lease administration and it shows in how they developed and built their technology. The fact that we can train a property manager in an hour or so on how to use such a powerful system is a pretty strong value proposition. Our ability to streamline the lease administration process is key to our overall technology strategy,'' said Gary Brandeis of Lincoln Property Company, one of AMT's strategic partners. AMT has developed a reputation among its clients for unsurpassed quality, reliability and speed, based largely on the power of its proprietary lease extraction software package, AMTprolease. Although a number of AMT clients were so impressed with the results that they purchased AMTprolease for their own use, the package was beyond the financial reach of many smaller users, required clients to have some internal IT staff and capabilities, and could not be accessed by multiple users from multiple locations simultaneously. Therefore, clients still tended to distribute thousands of duplicate, paper- based copies of leases, filing them manually in multiple locations and losing track of who controlled the latest version. "For the first time, Internet technology has advanced to the point that, by combining it with AMTprolease, we can resolve all of these challenges in our new product, AMTdirect,'' Schubert said. "Today, the Internet is ubiquitous. Almost everyone has access, and almost everyone knows how to use it. By putting your data online, therefore, all of your employees, your customers -- anyone you want to have access to the information -- can have it using a simple Internet browser and a secure password.'' "A few years ago, before Internet security technology became so advanced, you might not have wanted to go that route. But today, the security measures built into AMTdirect are so good that you can harness the convenience and power of the Internet without compromising the security of your data.'' By basing AMTdirect on simple web-browser technology, AMT has made the product affordable to real estate management companies of all sizes. All of the technology and technical maintenance are provided by AMT -- no in-house IT capabilities are required. There's no upfront fee to buy, install and configure software -- users pay only a small monthly fee for each lease stored on the system. There's no charge to add users -- clients may give access to as many users as they want from as many locations as they wish at no extra charge. Users also have the option of loading their data into the system themselves, or hiring AMT to load it for them.
