NEW YORK---June 26, 2001--Imation Corp., a worldwide leader in data storage and information management, today announced that it will showcase its expanded optical product portfolio to include new storage media, drives and accessories at PCExpo in New York, June 26-28, 2001, in Booth No. 3322. Imation Expands Storage Media Offerings The advanced technology of Imation DataPlay digital media - an affordable, miniature optical storage media the size of a quarter - will be on display in Imation's booth. Imation DataPlay digital media enables users to download and record 500MB of digital content, such as music, books, games or computer files, on a single disc and play it back on any DataPlay-enabled device, including digital music players, e-books, portable games or digital cameras. A single Imation DataPlay digital media disc stores a staggering amount of information, whether it's hours of music, hundreds of photographs or volumes of written information, all with an estimated archival life of 100 years. Among its storage media offerings on the show floor, Imation will display its new Imation 24X CD-R media - a recordable CD designed for the next wave of high-speed CD-R and CD-RW drives. Available in silver, black and five neon colors - including wild blueberry, lemon yellow, cherry vanilla, kiwi green and crazy grape, the write-once discs offer an increased storage capacity of 700MB of data or up to 80 minutes for audio files. Imation also will feature its recently released Imation 4-10X High-Speed Neon CD-RW media - a high-speed, rewritable CD, also available in five neon colors, featuring 650MB of data memory, an increased recording speed of 10X and totally noise-free playback. Imation 4-10X High Speed CD-RW media are only compatible for recording with the latest CD-RW drives which feature the High-Speed Logo. The media can be used for playback by existing multiread drives such as CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and rewritable DVD. Imation Offers Unique Portable Storage Accessories Imation's new line of optical accessories also will be on display, providing convenient home or office storage and portability of data. Among these offerings, Imation will showcase its Pop-Out Neon Storage Cases which features a unique pop-out mechanism that allows users to easily push an ejector button at the top of the case for quick access to CDs. Available in five cool neon colors -- including wild blueberry, lemon yellow, cherry vanilla, kiwi green and crazy grape - the Imation Pop-Out storage cases gives users a portable, easy- access way to store their CDs. The new Imation CD Label-N-GO!(TM) is an all-in-one label kit that provides everything needed to satisfy creative urges. Each kit includes 50 premium-quality label sheets, an easy-to-use label applicator and a permanent marker. Ideal for home or on the go, its sleek carrying case allows quick access to creativity anytime and anywhere. Plus, the CD Label-N-GO! features easy-to-use software with more than 500 trendy designs, with the ability to custom design fonts and paints! Imation Optical Drives Gain Speed and Portability Imation's line of high performance CD-RW drives also will be on display, including the Imation 16x10x32 CD Burn-R and the Imation USB 4x4x6 External CD Burn-R. These drives can be installed to the PC via IDE/ATAPI interface or USB port, and implement Burn Proof Technology(TM) -- a technology which prevents Buffer Under Run Error and allows users to multitask while recording a CD. Additionally, the drive kits are bundled with the popular Adaptec software suite including Adaptec Direct CD and Easy CD Creator, and include a blank Imation CD-R and CD-RW disc.
