At the End of the Line

Press release from the issuing company

You’ve got the product, you’ve got the pack and you’ve got the customers. What binds them together is fulfilment and logistics.

To make good on the promise of your product and its packaging that you have meticulously designed and developed, any number of adjacent solutions and services are essential to reaching your target customers and securing sales.

From filling and forming to wrapping, stacking and storage, each is a necessary step in getting products off the drawing board, out of the factory door and into retail environments.
The exhibitor list at Packaging Innovations & Empack 2025 includes many companies able to assist with this less glamourous but nonetheless essential part of a product’s lifecycle.

Take it away

Prism eLogistics UK (T60) provides storage, fulfilment, pick and pack, and distribution services. Contract shrink sleeving is a particular service the company offers, which has been augmented by the recent installation of a high-speed sleeving machine targeted at the market for shrink-decorated beverage cans from 100-500ml. It has also now implemented contract packing software from Nulogy (R46) to digitise its contract packing and shrink sleeving operations. The previously used e-commerce software lacked functionality specific to the demands of a contract packing workflow, with Nulogy’s Shop Floor Solution selected to optimise the company’s co-packing operations and drive efficiency and profitability.

Lemonpath (Q52) is a full-service logistics provider specialising in contract packing, offering a full warehousing facility to clients including imports, storage, contract packing, pick/pack and UK/European distribution.

Complete Co-Packing Services (R62) offers a one-stop-shop service to clients, taking care of co-packing, warehousing and fulfilment requirements. This includes tablet, powder/dried product, and liquid filling; pasteurisation; shrink sleeving; order tracking and management; and after-packing services, which include kit collation and assembly, labelling, point of sale display, shelf-ready packaging, flow wrapping, clip stripping, re-packing and re-work.

Sealed Air (U20) was the original innovator of BubbleWrap and today has an advanced portfolio including inline automated fulfilment systems that form, fill, wrap, and prepare parcels for out-the-door shipment, as well as a full range of protective packaging options. Its branded products include: Autobag bagging and pouching machines, such as the FAS SPrint Revolution SidePouch Food Bagger; Cryovac bag dispensing and automated loading equipment, including those specifically designed to load and bag cheese blocks; and Liquidbox, which is a brand that offers numerous solutions for packing, filling and dispensing liquids.

Airworks (T20) offers machines and air cushion packaging for safer transportation of goods, reducing the risk of consumer complaints and damage/recalls. From Cirrus System, a sophisticated fully-automatic, multi-station packaging solution, to the Cirrus Station pneumatic conveying unit that turns a simple packing table into an adapted and integrated packing station, air cushion packaging options are available for any application/environment.

Autopack (V46) is a supplier of packaging and processing machinery. With options ranging from single machines to full-process filling and packaging lines, it serves the food, drink, pet food. confectionery, chemical and personal care sectors. Equipment for jars and bottles includes the F4 Hygienic Sauce Filler, as well as a number of flexible bag-in-box, automatic pouch machines, horizontal sachet machines and vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machines.

JMC Automation (V12) is an international supplier of automated packaging equipment and bagging systems. The company provides a range of baling, bulk bagging and sealing systems for a variety of industries and applications, including ice, vegetable root crop, and various other industries. Highlighted examples are the 3118i/2112i high-speed horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) rollstock bagging machines for the packaged ice industry.

Severn Packaging (T32) has a comprehensive range of bagging machines available, all of which can be offered for paper bags. From table-top to high-speed bagging for a range of applications and e-commerce systems for packing online orders efficiently, these systems can run either pre-opened bags on a roll or tubular film. Table-top bagging machines are noted as a particular benefit to small businesses, who stand to benefit from streamlined operations and enhanced productivity.

Yorkshire Packaging Systems (R20) has a focus on all things wrapping, packing, bagging, shrinking, stretching and servicing. As well as the films and sleeves themselves, semi and fully automatic stretch wrappers, sealers, palletisers and bagging machines are offered. For display applications, an automatic l-sealer produces glossy, wrinkle-free, shelf-ready packaging. This machine includes a servo-driven sealing jaw for precise movement, which increases line speed while achieving an excellent aesthetic finish. A side-feed sleeve wrapper, ideal for transit wrapping applications, can wrap multipacks or singles, trayed or trayless collations, with minimal disruption when changing between pack types. Vertical bagging machines feature advanced technology, including integrated data banks, labellers, scanners and printers (including direct on-bag printing), for a secure all-in-one solution.

Wessex Packaging (U12) specialises in palletisation packaging and supports UK businesses to wrap, strap and package pallets in the supply chain. The company is the official GB distributor for the ErgoPack range of mobile pallet strapping machines. ErgoPack feeds a strap through the base and around the pallet to the operator, who tensions and seals the strapping, whilst standing in an upright position. This is pallet strapping without having to bend, stretch or walk around the pallet – a definite health and safety benefit. ErgoPack enables a pallet to be strapped twice in under a minute, increasing output and reducing strain and fatigue for the operator.

United Strapping Tools (UST) was founded 1995 in the USA and has become a major supplier of strapping tools and spare parts. Its products are sold to over 30 countries in the world and are utilised for palletising goods for transport. This includes manual and pneumatic strapping tools, a battery powered tool for 12-16mm plastic strapping, and strapping dispenser carts.

Associated Pallets (V44) supplies an extensive range of pallet and packaging related products to business throughout the UK. This includes new and used wooden pallets, pallet collars, plastic pallets, plastic crates and boxes. It also offers a pallet collection recycling service, for unwanted wooden pallets and pallet-related products.
