GEW has announced a further addition to its worldwide network of distributors, with the appointment of Tunis-based company Industry General Trading (IGT). With immediate effect, IGT is exclusive distributor for GEW equipment, service and spare parts, within the territory of Tunisia and Algeria.
IGT is an established supplier of raw materials, accessories and consumables for flexible packaging and label converters. They supply flexible packaging substrates, UV and LED curing systems, lamps, antistatic and corona equipment, alongside equipment for converting and shrink sleeves, printing cylinders and pressroom consumables, and quality control equipment.
Having built a reputation in the industry for strong technical knowledge and reliability, IGT is now one of the major suppliers to the printing industry in the Maghreb region. IGT was founded by Ahmed Chiheb Eddine Driss, Owner of the company, in 2009. Driss graduated as an Electrical Engineer in 2001, and attained a Master of Management degree in 2005. He began his career in the graphic industry in 2001 as a Service Engineer, and has experience across offset, flexographic and digital printing.
David Lyus, GEW’s International Sales Manager with responsibility for Maghreb, highlights the benefits that IGT’s appointment will bring for customers: “We have worked with Ahmed since 2009, when he began servicing GEW’s VCP installations in the field. He is a long-standing, experienced partner who knows our UV and LED systems extremely well, and with his focused support our customers can expect enhanced Sales and Service support, and faster delivery times for GEW spare parts and consumables. This will be combined with excellent service in the field, so our customers can expect efficient and responsive technical support.”
