Graphic Arts Alliance Member, PIP Marketing Signs Print Enhances Printing Operations with Canon ImagePRESS 1350

Press release from the issuing company

PIP Marketing Signs Print, a Graphic Arts Alliance member, based in East Longmeadow, MA, has experienced significant improvements in their printing operations since the acquisition of the Canon ImagePRESS V1350. Mark Robinson, the Digital Print Department Head at PIP, shared insights into the impact of the ImagePRESS V1350 on their business.

"We've been using the 1350 since July of 2023, and overall, I've been extremely pleased with its performance," stated Robinson. The enhanced capabilities of the ImagePRESS V1350 have significantly contributed to improving their printing operations. Robinson highlighted the increased speed, registration and the ability to run heavier stock, along with the additional finishing options, as key features that have positively impacted their production processes.

Regarding print quality and consistency, Robinson noted, "Since the installation of the 1350, I have noticed that color consistency from day-to-day operation is much better than our old ImagePRESS 8000VP." The ImagePRESS V1350 has also had a positive impact on production turnaround time and overall efficiency. Robinson emphasized that the speed and the ability to print on thicker stock, coupled with extra binding options, have accelerated their production processes.

When asked about the support and training received from Canon, Robinson mentioned, "Canon training was minimal for us. They did go over the updated features of the equipment and where to find the adjustments. However, if needed, their phone support has been excellent, as well as our service tech."

Robinson also highlighted the ways in which the ImagePRESS V1350 has helped PIP meet the evolving needs and demands of their customers. "Improved productivity helps with our turnaround times for projects and speeds up the entire process. Less downtime for service call interruptions, along with the improved quality, make it a home run," he shared.

In terms of cost savings and financial benefits associated with the use of the ImagePRESS V1350, Robinson pointed out that the faster production times correlate to labor cost savings, along with a more favorable service cost.

PIP continues to leverage cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality printing solutions to their clients.
