DG3 Increases Capacity and Productivity with a Second HP Indigo 100K Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

DG3, a business communication and marketing solutions provider and one of the 100 largest printing groups in the world, is expanding its digital arsenal of presses with the installation of a second HP Indigo 100K Digital Press. This investment allows the company to increase capacity, drive productivity, and reduce the time to market. By working with HP, DG3 is able to provide top quality work across a variety of campaigns, projects and scopes for its customers.

Headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, the company is strategically located near a majority of its customer base, which includes financial services, pharmaceutical, and healthcare companies. DG3 has evolved its product offerings over the past 40 years to include promotional products, managed services, and technologies in which it develops websites, portals, and technical solutions. However, print remains a core piece of the business and is the driver behind its collaboration with HP – DG3 is harnessing the power of cutting-edge digital presses to meet customer demands and foster growth.

When speaking of its latest investment, President and CEO at DG3, Steve Babat said, “HP has really proven to be a great partner for us. We have achieved a 35% speed increase and have become a leader in our industy. He continued, “Historically, the print business has been very transactional. One of the key benefits with the new digital presses is that we have the opportunity to tap in to the data to better manage and connect the entire process from start to finish, but more importantly, offer more personalization to our customers across the board.”

The company was drawn to HP for a variety of reasons including the support the team offered to onboard the new equipment, the sustainable inks, and knowing it was able to replicate a print job that looks exactly as it would from the offset press with the same level of quality at half the cost and twice the speed. Additionally, DG3 is able to leverage the different capabilities spanning HP’s equipment to better serve its customers. In fact, David Schreckenstein, Digital & Mail Operations Manager at DG3 noted, “customers continuously expect projects faster and faster. With the expansive offerings of HP’s equipment, we are able to do covers with the HP Indigo 100K Digital Press and text on the HP PageWide T250. Additionally, when we upgraded our HP PageWide T230 to the HP PageWide T250, it was honestly a game-changer for us.”

DG3 has also used PrintOS for consistency and efficiency purposes. More specifically, by leveraging Color Beat, the company can ensure that the printer maintains color within, throughout, and between runs all in the matter of minutes. Therefore, the company can increase its run rate and streamline the manufacturing process.

“Our long-standing teamwork with DG3 has been marked by continuous collaboration and the drive to constantly deliver high-quality work, said Chris Carson, AMS HP Industrial Commercial Director of Sales at HP. “Their decision to incorporate HP’s equipment demonstrates their unwavering dedication to provide products and services that are nothing short of excellent to their customers. We’re honored to continue to be their chosen collaborator in this existing era of digital printing and watch them embrace these pioneering technologies.”

DG3 showcases how investing in innovative printing equipment can be invaluable to fueling a business forward, remaining competitive, meeting high-demands, producing high-volume projects, and fostering a streamlined process.
