Canon Solutions America’s University Inkjet Program Provides Clemson University Students Opportunity to Attend thINK Ahead Conference

Press release from the issuing company

MELVILLE, N.Y. – Canon Solutions America’s University Inkjet Program is celebrating its fifth year of working to develop the next generation of printing industry professionals, most recently providing students from Clemson University the opportunity to attend July’s thINK Ahead conference in Boca Raton, Florida.

The University Inkjet Program, launched in 2019 by Canon Solutions America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., offers students practical experience and insight into modern print industry trends and practices. Through collaborative activities, students can see first-hand how the business of production printing operates to gain a better understanding of inkjet technology, production print service providers, and how the industry continues to evolve.

thINK, an independent community of Canon Solutions America production inkjet customers, had nearly 500 Canon inkjet customers, partners and print industry experts come together for the 10th anniversary of thINK Ahead, its annual inkjet conference.

Clemson –part of a program that also includes Arizona State University (ASU) and Rochester Institute of Technology – saw its students of the University Inkjet Program attend thINK Ahead and participate in educational sessions and keynote speeches. The students also benefitted from the networking component, with Canon customers providing one-to-one engagements with students to discuss career opportunities and professional development.

A video highlighting the University Inkjet Program was screened at thINK Ahead 2024, displaying work the students prepared for 2024 projects that featured fashion, travel, or cooking publications printed on a Canon varioPRINT iX, ProStream or ColorStream press, can be accessed here.

To commemorate the five-year anniversary, students from the Clemson class were recognized on stage at the event, shown in the attached picture.
