Archimede Expands and Chooses Flexa

Press release from the issuing company

Archimede Spa expands into new markets adding its machinery with Flexa's new TGE roll slitter and Easy Plus laminator

Archimede S.p.a. is a growing Italian company with a fascinating history. Founded by Daniel Bortolamei in 1988, Archimede is now a leader in the production of display solutions, thanks to numerous expansions and acquisitions. The company's strengths include a young, dynamic, and flexible team with a deep understanding of both the product and customer needs. Now, the company aims to expand into the home furnishings and home decor markets.

This year, Archimede decided to expand its production site by adding a a TGE roll slitter and the new Easy Plus laminator. Daniel Bortolamei describes the process with the new Easy Plus laminator: “We are applying an application tape onto a plexiglass sheet to protect a previously digitally printed sheet. This process allows us to laser-cut the sheet afterward without damaging it.”

The new professional large-format laminator, Easy Plus, comes with a single or double hot roller, featuring an integrated Wi-Fi/LAN module. The operating temperature of up to 140 °C makes this professional laminator extremely versatile, as it can be used in visual communication, packaging, and industrial sectors. With the new Easy Plus, it is possible to laminate, mount images on large panels, encapsulate, apply application tape, and use double-sided adhesives. It is ideal for laminating corrugated cardboard (packaging) and applying protective films to panels, metal sheets, wood, Plexiglas®, and glass. The integrated Wi-Fi/LAN module allows remote monitoring of the machine's vital data on PCs or mobile devices and is useful for predictive maintenance to avoid machine downtime.

The Easy Plus for Archimede also includes a feed-in guide, front tray prints, reference square with guide, motorized lifting of the upper roller, front and rear cutting bars, rear traction rollers, upgrade speed to 20m/min, and electro-pneumatic brake and clutch tensioning.

Archimede confirms its commitment to continuous innovation and improvement by focusing on cutting-edge technologies to enter new markets and better meet its customers' needs.
