(Smyrna GA) – The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) is putting the focus on human resources challenges at its next Lunch & Learn scheduled for September 26. The keynote titled “HR Department of One or None” will be presented by Leah Rainwater, MSIOP, SHRM-CP, a strategic HR leader that specializes in counseling HR professionals as well as CEOs.

The event will be held at the HP Graphics Experience Center in Alpharetta. It’s free to attend for all PIAG members, and attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility. Online registration is available at www.piag.org.

“Human Resources can be a challenge for any company, especially if the department is being run by one to two employees or even just the CEO,” said Ms. Rainwater. “However, this is not a unique situation and can be addressed with or without adding personnel. I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences with the print community.”

Ms. Rainwater is currently the human resources manager for an Atlanta-based food & beverage company with more than 130 employees. Over the past 15 years, she has held similar positions for large companies in engineering services, plastics & metals manufacturing, and optical products.
