Amela O’Gorman has joined the faculty group of the Graphic Media Management programs at Ferris State University’s College of Business as Assistant Professor starting this Fall semester. Professor O’Gorman is an alumnus of the FSU program. Upon Graduation from Ferris, Amela joined the Quad Graphics Management Trainee program where she transitioned into corporate training, specializing in integration, training, and development within the Customer Experience department. Her print and graphics skills proved valuable in other industries as well. Most recently, Amela served as an instructional designer at Rogers Behavioral Health, where she elevated their employee training program.
O’Gorman explains “My journey began in a high school graphics class, where I developed a passion for the intricate processes and creative aspects of printing. This passion led me to pursue a degree in print management and upon graduation landed me a role at Quad, where I honed my skills in print media production, cost estimating, and process improvement, gaining experience into the operational aspects of the field”
“We are thrilled to have Mrs. O’Gorman join our team.” States Patrick Klarecki, Professor and longtime coordinator of the graphics programs at Ferris State University. “Amela not only brings to FSU a broad scope of knowledge and experience but a fresh vibrant enthusiasm for print and educating our industry’s future workforce.” Klarecki continues, “Bringing Amela on board demonstrates Ferris’ commitment to the print and graphics industry. We have been very good at continuously refining our curriculum to serve the current and future needs of our industry.”
Amela joins Professors John Conati, and Patrick Klarecki at Ferris where she will continue to work closely with the print media industry to further refine and develop instructional processed and curriculum to meet future industrial demands. The future of print looks strong at Ferris State Univeristy Graphic Media Management.
