PaperSpecs Live – the Largest Print-and-Paper Focused Design Conference – Presents Boundary Pushing Speakers in Chicago on Sept. 26th

Press release from the issuing company

Everyone knows there’s a verve and energy to Chicago’s art and graphic design scenes that can’t be found anywhere else.

And on Sept. 26th, four of its most exciting luminaries will take attendees “behind the scenes” of some of their greatest creations during PaperSpecs Live Chicago – 1 FULL DAY jam-packed with inspiration, trends, valuable insights, and print samples galore!?

Boundary Pushing Speakers

Covering everything from wine & spirits branding to environmental art – and even the very history of design itself – PaperSpecs Live’s special guest speakers will provide attendees with the fuel they need to spark their own creativity and create work that not only stands out but leaves a lasting impression.

Speakers include:

  • Scout Driscoll, founder/CEO of DesignScout, a branding agency, and its wine-industry division, VINT Studio, which has crafted brands for over two decades with a passion for authenticity and rebellion. Her work for Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants was integral to growing their wine club, which is the largest in the world.
  • Alyssa Low, a Chicago artist, muralist and multidisciplinary designer. Her clients range from the Chicago Bulls, Blackhawks and Bears, to Glamour Magazine, Soho House Chicago and Navy Pier. And if you’ve been to Wayfair Chicago, Kaiser Tiger or Penguin Foot Pottery, to name just a few locations, you will also have seen her stunning murals.
  • Elaine Palutsis is associate creative director at Chicago-based VSA Partners, where she’s handled everything from visual identities and
packaging to product launches, campaigns and environmental graphics. In addition to being the design lead for Sappi, she’s worked with a wide range of clients, from Google and Motorola Solutions to Carnegie Learning and the CME Group.
  • Tanner Woodford, founder/executive director of the Design Museum of Chicago. He also paints larger-than-life murals, his work having appeared at the WNDR Museum and Soho House Chicago. As a lecturer, he’s spoken on design history in classrooms and at conferences, and currently teaches “Design Thinking For Social Change” at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

This game-changing day will also provide attendees with:

  • ‘How to’ Workshops
From “Binding” to “Digital Foiling” and more??
  • Invaluable Connections

Attendees will have the chance to meet like-minded creatives and industry luminaries who speak their language

  • Creative Inspiration?

They will see – and feel – the latest industry trends and innovations up close??

  • Print Samples Galore

Attendees will be able to take home as many print and paper samples as they can carry.

In short, everything a designer needs to create printed pieces that will “wow” their current clients and attract new ones – no matter what the budget.
