ProImage Has Announced the Release of Newswayx V6.2 with Many New Time Savings Features and Production Tools

Press release from the issuing company

Princeton, NJ – ProImage, an innovator in newspaper production technology, proudly announces the release of NewsWayX automated workflow that is available in the cloud or installed locally. NewsWayX, with its cloud-based operation, is designed for both large and small publications. It offers a comprehensive solution for Page & Plate Tracking, Ripping, Imposition, and Output management. The system's HTML5-compliant, browser-based interface ensures accessibility across various computer platforms, facilitating a seamless and informed cloud-based workflow.

With the latest version, there is now an additional option to upload pages beside FTP or dragging files into the browser. Files can now be uploaded directly to a Page in the Edition Plan. To access the upload icon, a user hovers the cursor over the page icon in the BirdsEye or the Thumbnail view and simply clicks the upload icon and chooses the file to upload in the browse pop-up window. This will automatically map the page regardless of file name to the proper location.

This version supports manual on the fly normalization of individual or multiple pages using the new normalizing action. To apply the manual action an operator right clicks the page(s) icon and selects Normalize. This action will normalize the page(s) to user defined cropped or scaled width and height and in addition rotate the page if desired. It can also crop the image to a certain size on the fly. This is a valuable time saver when needing to make last minute adjustments.

A new ruler overlay has been added in the Page and Form Views. This allows an operator to easily check measurements of images, objects or pages. A user can select the ruler’s origin (i.e. 0,0 point) anywhere on the Page or Form.

Quick visualization of the Form Fanout values available. A user can view the values in the Fanout table in the fanout setups of the system, without the need to open the table. In addition, Fanout values for each press can quickly be viewed in a table.

Page numbering is available in the Form View. Users have the option to display the page numbers that get overlayed when viewing the form/imposition to check what pages are on the plate.

There are many other visual and UI improvements to speed user setup, tracking, sorting and general functions of the system.
