Press release from the issuing company
MOUNT HOLLY, New Jersey – Komori America is proud to announce its support for the Best Buddies chapter at Rancocas Valley Regional High School through a donation of high-quality calendars. The calendars, printed on Komori equipment, were used by the organization to raise funds for their activities, making a significant positive impact on their operations.
Best Buddies at Rancocas Valley Regional High School is part of a global movement dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of students with differing abilities. The local chapter provides a space for students to form friendships with peers who may not be in their classes, fostering a more inclusive school environment.
“Our goal has always been to support community initiatives that align with our values,” said Manuela Stewart, the driving force behind the donation initiative. “When I realized we had these beautiful calendars and my son mentioned his school’s charity was in need of funds, it was a perfect opportunity to make a difference.”
The Best Buddies chapter at Rancocas Valley Regional High School comprises three advisors and four student officers, including Troy Stewart, Emersynn Fair, Johanna Mercado, and Julia White. The organization has been successful in creating meaningful relationships among over 60 students currently enrolled.
The donation of the calendars allowed the organization to raise almost $1,000 by offering them as wall art prints. “The outcome of the calendar fundraising went pretty well”, said one of the advisors. “We are working on having a table at a few more fundraisers! They came out very nice especially because we provided the option to get just the print or added a white frame option as well!”
Manuela Stewart added, “The calendars were well-received, and it was inspiring to see how the students came up with creative ways to maximize their fundraising efforts by offering prints and framed options. This initiative not only provided financial support but also engaged the students in a meaningful project.”
The funds raised through this initiative have enabled Best Buddies at Rancocas Valley Regional High School to continue organizing events and activities that promote inclusion and friendship among students of all abilities.
Komori America’s commitment to community support and engagement is reflected in this initiative, showcasing the company’s dedication to fostering positive change and supporting local organizations. Mark Milbourn, Executive VP of Sales & Service at Komori America added, “We are always looking for opportunities to participate and contribute with our local communities”.
