Live and in Living Color: GMG Color Americas Ready to Impress at drupa 2024

Press release from the issuing company

GMG Color Americas (‘GMG’), a leading color management and proofing technology developer, will be participating in drupa 2024, the world’s premier trade fair and exhibition for print technologies.

From May 28 to June 7, representatives from GMG Color Americas team will join forces with the global GMG Color team at drupa 2024, taking place at Messe Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany. Visitors will find GMG Color in Hall 7 on booth D06. GMG representatives will also be available at the HP booth, A01-1 - A01-9 in Hall 17, and MeasureColor booth, B11 in Hall 7a .

Joseph Varone, President, Birgit Plautz, Technical Director, Paulo Monteiro, VP of Sales, Jean Bohn, Regional Sales Manager and Bill DeWall, Director of Sales North Central Region, will share the latest exciting updates to GMG’s market-leading range of color and proofing solutions designed to make success predictable for printers and converters.

Alongside the comprehensive GMG portfolio of products, such as the GMG ColorProof digital proofing system and GMG ColorServer, a fully automated tool for conversion to any output color space, drupa will see four key technologies take center stage:

GMG will showcase ColorFarm, distributed by GMG Americas, a production cockpit for GMG solutions.

With streamlined processes, integrated preflighting, centralized information management between GMG software solutions, and precise color management abilities, ColorFarm is ideal for easy job quoting and production control. The result for converters is easy cost comparison between diferent presses and technologies, adding cost-saving potential in industrial digital priting.

Responding to the rapid development of digital printing technology, GMG has developed a version of its GMG ColorProof system designed specifically for HP Indigo digital presses.

GMG ColorProof for HP Indigo delivers predictability and a cost-effective way to create pin-sharp proofs, while freeing up valuable press capacity. With GMG expertise, prepress is no longer bound by press time constraints and production can seamlessly integrate proofing without disrupting busy schedules.

To complement the launch of the HP Indigo solution, GMG has also created a Proofing Calculator tool, which will be in action on the booth at drupa 2024. Ideal for seeing the value proposition in its purest form, the calculator shows converters the significant cost savings that are possible with GMG ColorProof for HP Indigo.

The GMG Color Americas team will also be sharing a new update in the form of GMG ColorPlugin for Adobe Illustrator, a vector conversion sibling tool to GMG ColorPlugin for Adobe Photoshop.

Visitors to drupa 2024 will be able to see live demonstrations of the new tool in action.

Joseph Varone commented: “drupa is revered as ‘the’ printing show, so naturally it’s important that we’re there showing the latest technologies we’ve developed.
In addition, visitors to drupa will also have the opportunity to see other exhibitors showcasing technology powered by GMG, such as MeasureColor by ColorWare, and the integration of GMG OpenColor with PDF editors - Hybrid Software PACKZ and Esko ArtPro+.

“GMG products are trusted by countless printers around the world, but we never rest on that – we are continually adding new functionality and tools. The GMG Color Americas team will be joining the global GMG Color team at the event, and we can’t wait to help visitors uncover the efficiency, sustainability and cost advantages of our latest next-generation technologies.”
