San Bruno, CA - June 8, 2001: Webprint, Inc., a business-to-business, e-commerce provider for on-demand printers and their customers, and Klundt Hosmer Design, a visual communication firm, specializing in high-level branding and marketing, today announced the acceptance of two prestigious graphic design awards. Webprint's corporate brochure received an excellence award at the 2001 Northwest Addy competition held in March while Webprint's corporate identification and stationery suite won entry into American Corporate Identity, one of the most respected graphic design annuals. This year's 2001 Northwest Addy competition drew over 400 entries, while the American Corporate Identity annual received over 4000 entries from over 500 agencies and design firms.
"Both of these awards come against tough competition," said Rick Hosmer creative director and principal of Klundt Hosmer Design. "The Addys gather work from agencies and design firms from all over the northwest, while the American Corporate Identification receives nationwide submittals."
Webprint's corporate brochure provides printers with a comprehensive introduction into Webprint's unique Internet printing solution. Using a combination of images, bold typography, and vibrant color, the brochure clearly communications the company's' deep printing roots and technology acumen. Webprint's corporate identification employs a text metaphor that visually bridges two industries, "Web" and "Print" in a graphically whimsical fashion.
"Webprint is honored to be the recipient of two highly prominent graphics industry awards," said Tom White, president and CEO of Webprint. "Furthermore, we are delighted to be working with a design firm of Klundt Hosmer's caliber, a firm that not only can solve our business communications needs, but that can place Webprint in an award winning category."
