Toronto, ON — Today, strategic consulting firm, Connecting for Results (CFR), is pleased to announce that the Print Wisdom career mentorship program has completed another successful session. In collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) Tri-Mentoring Program (TMP), the mentorship program has provided TMU’s Graphic Communications Management (GCM) students with the opportunity to find counsel from experienced print professionals this past school year.

Designed to help students make a smooth transition from school to the workplace, Print Wisdom pairs students with seasoned industry professionals enabling them to seek career advice,
guidance and motivation and industry resources during their studies.

Since its inception in 2021, the mentorship program has:

Helped 54 students with expertise across the industry from print production and graphic design to sales and leadership.

Expanded to support second-year students in addition to third and fourth years.

Offered three unique sessions: Winter, Summer, and Fall.

Supported diversity and female academics, who are currently the majority in the GCM program.

Provided employers with the opportunity to meet new talent.

Received recognition at the Canadian Printing Awards, honouring Connecting for Results’ Bob Dale and Nicole Morrison with the ‘Community Leader of the Year Award’ for their efforts with the program.

Been modelled by industry associations, schools, and training facilities across the country.

“CFR is committed to giving back to the community and we are thrilled with the industry support we’ve received for Print Wisdom. “Connecting with industry professionals is valuable to the student experience and they greatly benefit from this opportunity,” said Natalia Lumby, Chair, Graphic Communications Management, The Creative School, Toronto Metropolitan University.

“Mentorship programs have positive effects on student success.
