Press release from the issuing company
Montreal, Canada and Ghent, Belgium—Ultimate Tech, the leader in imposition, nesting and finishing automation, is proud to announce the PDF/X-4 Compliancy of Ultimate Impostrip 2024.1, certified by the Ghent PDF Workgroup.
The Ghent PDF Output Suite was created for people processing PDF files in the graphic arts industry, to help determine whether their workflows are behaving as expected. The test consists of 48 PDF patches, that test real-world issues found in a production environment. All patches must be processed and output correctly to achieve compliancy.
“We are a huge advocate of the use of standards in the printing industry as they are so important in providing consistency, predictability and reliability” says Andrew Bailes-Collins, Head of Product at Ultimate Tech.
Achieving Ghent Output Suite PDF/X-4 compliancy for Ultimate Impostrip was an important benchmark for us as it visibly demonstrates the quality of our PDF output, highlights our support for ISO standards and illustrates Ultimate Impostrip’s ability to handle even the most complex of PDF constructions.’'
David Zwang, Chair of Ghent Workgroup adds: “As the use of PDF becomes more ubiquitous in all print applications, the need to ensure the tools and processes provide a reliable means for meeting and delivering on customer expectations is critical. The Ghent PDF Output Suite is recognized as the best way to help ensure compliance. Congratulations to Ultimate for their successful implementation.”
To help setting up the parameters of a PDF workflow, the Ghent Workgroup has created instructions for the successful output of the Ghent PDF Output Suite 5.0.
Ultimate Impostrip 2024.1 can be seen at Drupa, in Hall 8b, Stand A31 from May 28th to June 7th 2024 in Dusseldorf.
