Press release from the issuing company
MAPLE GROVE, MN – Kodi Collective, a CJK Group company, has received awards and recognition for outstanding achievement in Web Press Printing (Coated Paper) and Product Catalogs categories in the Printing Industry Midwest’s (PIM) annual Star Awards, a five-state print competition hosted by the region’s trade association for the printing, communication, and graphic arts industry.
Competing against entries from printing and graphic arts firms throughout the Midwest, Kodi Collective received five awards. The submissions Williams Sonoma Cooks January 2024 catalog and Creation L Spring 2024 catalog garnered the highest award levels, winning Best of Category in Web Press Printing (Coated Paper) and Award of Recognition for C-4 Product Catalogs, respectively. These winning entries were printed across their web offset press platforms: the M1000, M3000, and S3000.
What truly distinguished these catalogs from other submissions in their category was the print quality. For the Creation L catalog, the client approached Kodi Collective for color profiling assistance, which led to a successful collaboration of a high-quality piece. For the Williams Sonoma Cooks catalog, the customer's active involvement allowed Kodi’s team to precisely capture and bring their vision of the catalog’s overall appearance to life.
"Our commitment to excellence and collaboration with our customers shone through in this project,” said Michael Cox, Certified G7 Expert and Prepress & Quality Supervisor at Kodi Collective in Maple Grove, MN. “Working closely with our clients, we meticulously provided a tailored color profile to perfectly match their paper specifications. This enabled us to achieve unparalleled color accuracy, and our dedicated press crews executed the print production to the highest standards."
At the heart of Kodi Collective’s success lies their G7 certified quality team. They have consistently helped customers align their processes with industry standards. “Whether it's ensuring consistent calibration between proofing and files or helping clients adapt to changes in paper types, we always strive to be proactive and promptly alert clients to any necessary adjustments to ensure quality and consistency across all of our publications,” said Drew Roach, Vice President of Business Operations at Kodi Collective in Maple Grove.
