Innovation Meets Efficiency: technotrans Presents Cutting-Edge Cooling Solutions for Digital Printing

Press release from the issuing company

Efficient cooling and temperature control solutions reduce CO2 footprint

Precise temperature regulation, flexible custom design

Compact design: high energy density of 60 kilowatts per square meter

Sassenberg/Düsseldorf – Energy efficiency, high process stability, and machine performance: technotrans exhibits pioneering cooling and temperature control solutions for digital printing at drupa. The range of thermal management systems extends from compact units with minimal cooling capacities starting at 50 watts to high-performance systems with 50,000 watts and above. Thanks to power-regulated components, the use of natural refrigerants, and a high energy density, users significantly reduce their CO2 footprint with technotrans solutions – while simultaneously achieving high economic efficiency and productivity. Digital printers also benefit from maximum flexibility: All systems can be individually tailored to the requirements of each printing machine.

"The performance of digital printing machines is continuously increasing – and with it the demands on thermal management. To fully utilize their performance and ensure long-term quality of results, constant thermal parameters are necessary," says Peter Böcker, Head of the Print Division at technotrans. "We make this possible by providing cooling and temperature control systems that are precisely tailored to the machine needs for all application areas." The solution competence of the thermal management specialist has already convinced numerous customers, as evidenced by this year's drupa: Away from the technotrans exhibition stand, the devices can be seen on several printing machines from well-known manufacturers. technotrans offers its solutions as integrated systems, whose casings are designed to match the design of the digital printing machine, as well as compact standalone units.

The focus of the trade fair presentation in the digital printing sector is on the ECOtec.Chiller xtend with natural refrigerant R290. The vibration-free and quiet cooling solution operates energy-efficiently at all times thanks to power-regulated drives, using up to 60 percent less refrigerant than conventional solutions. Thus, users significantly reduce their CO2 footprint. At the same time, the compact device is particularly powerful with an energy density of 60 kilowatts per square meter. The modular construction of the ECOtec.Chiller xtend allows maximum flexibility to precisely tailor the device to the requirements of each printing machine.

High control accuracy, comprehensive service
In the area of compact cooling systems for digital printing, technotrans presents the miko, an exceptionally small compressor cooling unit with strong performance. The mini-tower, measuring 350 x 200 x 330 millimeters, offers a high power density with a temperature stability of +/- 0.1 Kelvin. Like all other thermal management solutions from technotrans, the compact unit is characterized by high control accuracy and user-friendly design. Upon request, the technotrans cooling systems are available with a communication interface. This allows the control and regulation of process parameters in exchange with the digital printing machine, to optimally supply it in every operating state.

technotrans also pursues a holistic approach in customer support: As a long-standing and internationally active partner of the printing industry, technotrans has a comprehensive service network, thus ensuring the availability of its customers' systems. "Fast response times, high availability of spare parts, and comprehensive all-round packages are just as much a part of our service offering as the consistent expansion of sustainable digital solutions," emphasizes Böcker.

technotrans will be exhibiting at drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf from May 28 to June 7, in Hall 1, Stand B10.
