Alwan and the Color Management Group Partner to Serve North American Print and Packaging Markets

Press release from the issuing company

Lyon, France and Orange, California -- Two giants of color technology for over 25 years, color technology developer Alwan and consulting distributor Color Management Group (CMG), are partnering to offer gold-standard color solutions and consulting expertise to printing and packaging providers in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement making CMG the exclusive distributor of Alwan software products in North America went into effect January 1, 2024.

CMG’s extensive education, analysis and system integration resources are developed and executed by the company’s exclusive group of consultants; known individually for their color expertise across the full range of print and packaging production environments.

Alwan has continuously provided the industry with up-to-date, bespoke color management and process control for all print and packaging production applications and environments. In 2024, Alwan is focused on new and faster features to support color management and process control for G7®, ISO, and increasingly, multicolor (ECG) customer environments.

Lida Jalali Marschke, founder and owner of the Color Management Group, says, “We’re thrilled to work with Elie and his team as CMG becomes the new master distributor for Alwan in North America. I have always admired what Elie has accomplished, and I am confident that our combined experiences will benefit the industry.”

Alwan founder and CEO Elie Khoury, regarded as one of the world’s foremost color engineers, is equally enthusiastic. “CMG has an A-list of consultants; experts who understand where Alwan products will serve providers best,” he says. “They have been asking for access to the Alwan product line, and now, with CMG as our distributor, they have it. Our customers are in good hands.”

Ron Ellis is the designated Alwan trainer
Jalali Marschke says that renowned color expert and CMG member Ron Ellis is the primary Alwan trainer for CMG. Ellis conducted initial Alwan training sessions at FTA’s fall meeting in Louisville, KY; followed by a 2-day CMG train-the-trainer session at the October 2023 Printing United Expo in Atlanta, GA. The next Alwan training session will be held March 14 at the TAGA/Color Conference, a Printing United Technical Event program in Dallas, TX.

CMG consultant talks about Alwan
CMG Member Meredith Nichols, Principal of M.B. Nichols Associates, says, “As the director of premedia and technology development for large commercial printers in New England, I have over 12 years of experience using the Alwan suite of products. As a consultant, I am super confident when recommending Alwan to my clients. The installation is easy, and they offer great support. Their wide range of products makes Alwan the choice for anyone looking to improve their color quality, reduce production time, and cut ink costs.”
