Webprint Announces New Vice President of Product Strategy and Services

San Bruno, CA - May, 2001: Webprint, Inc., a business-to-business, e-commerce provider for on demand printers and their customers, today announced the addition of a key member to its management staff. Kathy Shields will serve as vice president of product strategy and services. In her new position, Ms. Shields will be responsible for directing Webprint's product strategy and management, as well as overall customer service and training. "We are thrilled to have the talent from someone of Kathy on our management team and her background will be a significant asset for Webprint," said Tom White, president and CEO of Webprint. "With Kathy in place, the company can round out our service and training offerings, which have been in high demand since Webprint's launch last February."
Ms. Shields joins Webprint from Wadsworth Publishing, a division of Thomson Learning where she held the position of vice president, Chief Technology Officer. Ms. Shields also held the position of vice president, product development at Thomson World Class Learning, where she was instrumental in building a business plan and initiating process and procedures for building an XML, template-based online course structure. Ms. Shields also held a number of technology-related positions in the publishing industry over the last 20 years, starting her career as a classroom instructor teaching computer-related courses in high school and community colleges.
Ms. Shields holds a M.S. degree in business data processing and a B.A.degree in business from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She recently completed a certification in distance learning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
