A.B. Dick Open House Program Begins West Coast Swing

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, IL -- With the Gutenberg Festival on the horizon, A.B.Dick Company will continue with its Greatest Traveling Printshow on Earth tour after the Long Beach show concludes its May 17-19 run. Sacramento, Portland and Salt Lake City are three key western region destinations on the schedule before the tour heads East for stops prior to the Print '01 show this September in Chicago. "We are excited and looking forward to bringing our show to these cities," said Scott MacKenzie, Director of Product Planning for A.B.Dick who oversees the tour. "When we started this program last year, we visited San Francisco before Gutenberg, and went to Seattle and Denver afterwards. Those visits were very successful and these markets are performing well for us. This year, we decided to expand the territory with new locations. We believe we will cover additional ground and reach more customers this way." The Greatest Traveling Printshow on Earth offers an abundant amount of equipment at each show. The award-winning Digital PlateMaster line, which has sold more than 1,500 devices, will be represented by the DPM2340 and the new DPM2508. The market leader in its class, the DPM2340 will be shown in tandem with the incredibly affordable ScanMaster digital scanning system. The DPM2508 is a larger model designed to satisfy the demands of the 20-inch market. It offers the same outstanding features as the DPM2340, plus the addition of an internal drying system and optional in-line punching. The powerful A.B.Dick Colour digital press and the new A.B.Dick QP25 offset press headline the roster of sensational presses on tour. The QP25, which makes its debut at Gutenberg and will join the tour in Sacramento, offers several revolutionary features. Also on display will be the new 9995A-ICS two-color offset press, and the PowerPro 34 two-tower offset press. The new deSign U. custom poster and banner system and the Watkiss SpineMaster binding system complete a very impressive line-up. The Sacramento Printshow is next on the schedule. Set for June 5-6, it will be held at the Radisson Hotel Sacramento, located at 500 Leisure Lane. This event consists of three, 2-hour sessions; the first two programs on Tuesday, June 5 will be held from 1-3 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. A morning-only session is scheduled for Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. The same two-day schedule will be in effect for the Portland and Salt Lake City events. The Sheraton Portland Airport, located at 8235 NE Airport Way, plays host on June 19-20. The Salt Lake City dates are July 17-18 at the Sheraton City Centre, 150 W. 500 South St. Customers attend a 20-minute seminar, followed by equipment demonstrations with key analysis and discussion of A.B.Dick's digital and traditional equipment.
