Press release from the issuing company
Waalwijk, The Netherlands—Sustainability is an increasingly important topic in the business world, and the energy curing industry is no exception. At iGM Resins, we are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and supporting the sustainability efforts of our customers. Our dedication to sustainability is amongst others reflected in our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Omnirad 819, Omnirad 1173, and Omnirad 184 from our plant located in Italy, Mortara as our three key products.
This certification is just one part of our broader commitment to sustainability. At iGM Resins, sustainability is a core part of our business strategy, and we are constantly looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact and support our customers in their sustainability journey. We strongly believe that sustainability is not just a trend, but a necessary aspect of doing business in today's world.
One way that we differentiate ourselves in the industry is through our Life Cycle Assessments (LCA). A LCA is detailed report that allows us to assess the environmental impact of our products throughout their entire lifecycle, from Cradle-to-gate. iGM Resins has established accurate and comprehensive LCA’s in collaboration with external experts and utilizing industry-recognized methodologies. By using our LCA, we can identify areas where we can improve our sustainability performance and collaborate with our suppliers and customers to reduce environmental impact. New EU sustainability reporting rules will be mandatory for large companies from 2024. Companies will have to report on their impact on the environment, human rights, social standards and work ethics. We believe that these rules are an important step towards ensuring that businesses are accountable for their impact on people and the planet and we will do our part to follow them.
We see our commitment to sustainability as an opportunity to grow together further while addressing the sustainability challenges facing our industry. Our dedication to sustainability will facilitate creating long-term partnerships with our customers and suppliers and contribute to a more sustainable future for all.
We encourage our customers to join us in our sustainability efforts. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future for the UV industry and the planet as a whole. Our commercial team is available to answer any questions you may have about our sustainability initiatives or our Mortara-certified products.
