Press release from the issuing company
But First She’ll Step Into Executive VP Position on October 1
Mechanicsburg, PA – Cheri Stryker, Vice President of Sales at Fry Communications, recently announced that she will be retiring at the end of 2023. On October 1, Stryker will be promoted to Executive VP of Sales, and Steve Brandenburg, currently Fry’s Assistant VP of Sales/Catalogs, will be promoted to VP of Sales. Stryker’s official last day is December 31, 2023.
Stryker joined Fry in an entry level production position 43 years ago, and rose to become the company’s first Magazine Sales Manager and then the first female VP of Sales. Her sales and leadership skills led to long term partnerships with industry leaders such as M. Shanken Communications, Moffly Media, and Rodman Publishing. She successfully guided the Sales Team through the lean “pandemic years,” resulting in Fry’s annual sales volume returning to pre-pandemic sales levels.
“My career at Fry has been an amazing chapter in my life,” Stryker said. “Planning my retirement is a bittersweet experience for me. I love my career here at Fry, and I am truly going to miss my Fry family and the great customers and relationships I have built. I am ready for my next chapter – spending more time with family and friends, and finding new adventures with my husband!”
Brandenburg joined Fry in 2011, and became Catalog Sales Manager in 2012, leading the catalog team to their best sales year. He expanded his experience into periodical sales; those successes combined with over 35 years’ in catalog sales position him well as he moves into this new role.
“Cheri has blazed her own trail during her entire career at Fry, because of her tremendous drive and commitment to the company, its employees, and particularly our customers,” said Henry Fry. “While we will miss her leadership and deep dedication to her customers and the Fry organization, we wish her all the best on the next part of her life journey.”
“In the same way, Steve brings his own energy to leading our sales team into the future,” Mr. Fry continued. “We are excited for the future of Fry.”
