Arden Software is bringing back its popular user-conference this summer following a hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Arden Software Peak Performance Conference (APPC) takes place in Park City, Utah, from June 11-14, bringing together packaging professionals from across the world to provide a hands-on learning and training experience for those involved in the packaging supply chain.
The normally bi-annual conference was last held in 2019, but was postponed in subsequent years amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Leading figures from the packaging, carton and corrugated sectors including designers, die-makers, CAD experts, technicians, brand owners, sign makers and converters, are expected to gather at APPC 2023 to find out the latest innovations in Arden’s packaging design software and solutions.
The four-day event promises to be better than ever, as Arden will be launching the next major release of its Impact software, which includes a revolutionary new design tool set to transform the packaging design industry. The ground-breaking new feature will see Impact become the first ever packaging design CAD software to offer geometric constraint tools.
Jim Silianoff, president and CEO of Arden Software North America, said: “Following a four-year hiatus, APPC is back with a bang and our customers and software users are not going to want to miss this.
“We’re incredibly excited to unveil the next major release of Impact at APPC 2023, which includes our eagerly anticipated new design tool that will become a game-changer for the packaging design industry. We’re incredibly proud to be leading the way and we’re confident visitors to APPC 2023 will be as excited about this pioneering new tool as we are.”
Constraint-based design is more commonly used within CAD software in other industries, such as architectural or Mechanical CAD, but it has never been seen before in packaging design software.
The new tool in Impact enriches the entire use of the product’s design and editing capabilities, moving away from the legacy history-based approach to parametrics. It not only captures the designer’s intent as they draw, but also offers the unique advantage that any existing or imported drawing can be resized quickly and effortlessly.
Visitors to APPC can also look forward to discovering the latest innovations in Arden’s other leading software solutions including workflow management tool WEBcnx, as well as nServer and Enterprise, for both design and manufacturing.
Jim added: “Visitors to APPC 2023 will be able to get up close and hands-on with all our latest software products and solutions for design and manufacturing, and discover new tricks and knowledge that will help them add value to their business and products.
“We’ll also be joined by some of our key partners including BOBST and Hybrid Software, so it’s a great opportunity for networking and shared learning to discover the full capabilities of the Arden products.
Users of CimPACK software, which Arden Software acquired in 2020, will also be able to learn more about the transition to Impact and get hands-on time with the manufacturing tools that Impact offers.
