IPI 2023 Reveals First Program Details

Press release from the issuing company

Industrial Print Integration (IPI), Europe’s leading conference dedicated to specialist print technologies announces first programme details. The event scheduled for 28-29 November 2023 at Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf-Neuss features over 50 expert presentations, over 60 networking stands and an international community of major suppliers, OEMs, innovators, as well as technology users from various industrial markets.

“It is clear that many companies have used the last 2-3 years to complete or accelerate their product developments,” says Peter Buttiens, CEO of the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association (ESMA), organiser of the event. “IPI will bring together all levels of industrial printing – from decorative to functional applications. Printing as a manufacturing method is also gaining importance in optimising production, saving energy and reducing waste. The combination of different technologies and materials shows further growth potential of specialist printing which has been ESMA’s home territory for several decades now.”

Inspirational and informative keynotes
IPI’s extensive conference programme will open with high-profile keynote speeches which both inspire and inform the industry. Witte Technology will present case studies of advanced screen-printed electronics in mass production of security features. Saule Technologies, world’s pioneer in perovskite solar cells, will explain the inkjet printing process behind their production. Market intelligence firm AWA will provide an overview of in-mould labels, decoration and electronics. The European Printing Ink Association will discuss the impact of current sustainability goals on the industrial printing sector.

Technical sessions and new research findings
Two main conference tracks give forum to educational sessions exploring inkjet, screen and other printing techniques for different market applications. Major topic blocks include:

Customised print systems
Printhead design
Ink and ink formulations
UV-LED curing and IR drying
Big data management
Automation and robot integration
Sustainability and circularity
Technical sessions and new research findings

An additional side track is dedicated to the international ACT-3D research. Over the last months project partners from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands investigated the optimal combinations for printing of electronic circuits on three-dimensional plastic substrates. At IPI they will show their findings in the field of screen printing, thermoforming, laser coating, as well as adhesives. Application examples include safety products and insoles.
