RELYCO Donates $10,000 to Lydia’s House of Hope, Pledges Additional $40,000

Press release from the issuing company

Dover, NH – RELYCO, the New Hampshire-based supplier of print materials, is pleased to announce a commitment to donate $50,000 to Lydia’s House of Hope over the next five years. In February, RELYCO donated a total of $10,000, with $3,805.04 of that amount resulting from RELYCO’s quarterly 1% charitable giving initiative.

Last year, RELYCO expanded their community giving by committing to quarterly donations that total 1% of all of their online sales. RELYCO’s employee-run Community Service Team selects recipient Seacoast area non-profit organizations, and Lydia’s House of Hope was selected as the 2022 Q4 recipient. This inspired RELYCO’s Bruce and Katerina Steinberg to make an additional five-year pledge to support Lydia’s House of Hope on a larger scale.

According to Bruce, “Lydia’s House of Hope has been near and dear to our hearts since their founding in 2017. We’ve connected with them on donation drives and programs several times over the years. We have always been impressed by the compassion and determination that is evident in their work to help people change their lives. Theresa and her team are really making a difference in our community. We’re so proud to support their efforts over the next five years and beyond.”

Lydia’s House of Hope is a 25-resident facility in Somersworth, NH that offers a transitional housing program for homeless women and children. They provide opportunities that transform lives and help break the generational cycle of homelessness and poverty. Residents at Lydia’s House voluntarily enroll in a 365-day transformational, life-changing program where hands-on life and work skills are taught. Residents attend classes in everything from parenting and coping skills to nutritional cooking and financial literacy.

Theresa Tozier, Lydia’s House of Hope’s Founder and Executive Director, comments, “No child has ever grown up wanting to be homeless, wanting to live in poverty. Nobody dreams of that. We’re here to break these generational cycles. We give people a hand up, not a handout.”

Lydia’s House of Hope is not state or federally funded; they receive support through local businesses and individuals. Theresa explains, “What we appreciate from companies like RELYCO is that they don’t just donate money. Bruce and Katerina came here and they wanted to get involved. It’s the human part, where they will donate their time, wisdom and creativity. Community donors like that take care of us and make this all possible.”
