Press release from the issuing company
Pricer software is a software company in Ireland offering ecommerce, pricing, data extraction robots and automated quotation software. The software has been in beta testing with Brandpack Ltd (https://www.brandpack.ie) for over 2 years with great success in connecting sales, prepress and production and has now recently launched into the production market.
Some of the key features of this new software:
eCommerce
The eCommerce solution has been developed with careful consideration in relationally mapping the products, categories, pricing models, artwork, order and production tracking data to connect all departments as well as customers with automated reporting, tracking and payment facilities.
Pricing and quotation engines
Most other print pricing software is run through a database and set algorithm with properties that are unique to a specific production line and with very basic calculations for products and services, lacking the flexibility of customised options and complex business logic for quotation calculations. The Pricer quotation engine allows sales staff to create their calculators using familiar Excel spreadsheets. The spreadsheet is uploaded to the product and converted to C# to become a part of the workflow. This allows the use of pre-existing and complex business estimation logic to be used with ease within the eCommerce and workflow pages, perfect for the printing industry where a company may have a diverse product range, each with very different costing structures. Quotations created are sent directly to customers email addresses using the Azure Cloud and SendGrid API with an automatically generated PDF quotation and payment provider for complete automation.
Workflow
The order management was thoughtfully architectured to increase workflow efficiency and give users and departments all the information they require to manage each order, with the ability to filter and search through orders for department pertinent details. The order manager includes order and quote numbers, job and item specific details, order and due dates, dispatch types, order and progress statuses, customer and production specific notes, customer or prepress file uploads, artwork approval tracking and press ready files. The production dashboard provides staff with order management interface for tracking current and upcoming orders, separated into departments and products with click function filtering.
Automated quotations with price scraping robots, perfect for print resellers
We’ve recently added price scraping robots to the Pricer software feature list. This is perfect for print suppliers who rely on supplier costings for their quotations.
Job pricing and quoting can be a manual and time-consuming process, especially if you require costings from suppliers. A typical process would involve getting these costings and storing them in your data store whether a database or excel file. You would then add your business logic and manually prepare a quotation.
This repetitive process is time consuming and susceptible to human error. Furthermore, and especially in the current economic climate with volatile costs and inflation, your supplier costings need to be continuously checked for changes and updates. If the supplier has thousands of product configurations this may not be feasible at all, and you would need to rely on quoting every job manually.
The solution: A price scraping robot
A scraping robot can take the time and human error out of this quotation process. Website or document scraping can be used for a range of applications including testing, automation and data extraction. Pricer Software offers data scraping and can scrape large amounts of pricing data directly from supplier websites or documentation for quotations, business automation, competitive analysis or general information. The scraping robots we develop use a C# Selenium SDK through an Azure function app. The scraper retrieves huge datasets across supplier websites for various product configurations and exports the data to an Excel sheet, data store or does some other business logic with the retrieved data such as prepare a quotation based on user inputs that are generated directly from your supplier website in realtime. You can then add your markups and service fees in code, completely automating your pricing and quotation processes with scraping robots.
