Cambridge UK: Hybrid Software Group, developer of enterprise software for industrial inkjet manufacturing, is showcasing its complete range of solutions at IGAS, the international graphic arts exhibition at the Tokyo Big Sight in Japan (24 – 28 November).
Group companies – ColorLogic GmbH, Global Graphics Software, iC3D, HYBRID Software, Meteor Inkjet and Xitron – are exhibiting together on booth 6-21 to demonstrate their broad spectrum of packaging, digital and commercial print applications, including the co-developed SmartDFE™ digital front end for digital presses, designed to be part of a fully automated manufacturing system supporting Industry 4.0.
Mike Rottenborn, Hybrid Software Group CEO. comments, “Our brands are well respected in the Japanese market. We have had a local presence since 2004 when Global Graphics KK was established in Tokyo and over the years our highly motivated and professional team has established Harlequin as the RIP of choice for Japanese printer manufacturers. They are now joined by our other group companies to display the full breadth of our solutions for industrial inkjet applications at IGAS.”
Yoshiyuki Hagiwara, director of Global Graphics KK adds, “IGAS provides us with a platform to inform our OEM and end-user customers about the best technology for their print operation. Our booth will feature live demonstrations from all Group companies plus we are particularly pleased to show SmartDFE in action, the first technology co-developed by the Group.”
A major upgrade to the SmartDFE will be featured on the booth. SmartMedia™, is a new suite of components that simplifies the process of obtaining the best quality and color output from a digital press. Powered by the award-winning PrintFlat™ and enhanced with powerful color tools from ColorLogic GmbH, SmartMedia packages all the OEM’s reference press settings for each media and ink set into a library of media definitions and, via a wizard-like experience, enables press operators to easily select the appropriate media and ink set combination without needing specialist knowledge. Other new innovations on show from around the Group include:
HYBRID Software’s iC3D Suite now updated to Version 8.0 with new features and additional enhancements including an optimised shrink sleeve template with several new features. The award-winning iC3D Suite was the first all-in-one design software specifically developed for packaging designers and converters.
Meteor Inkjet’s PCC2-E print controller board, which offers higher performance than its predecessor and is backward-compatible with Meteor’s head driver cards.
Xitron’s new Navigator Flexo Suite: Label for end-users designed as a powerful workflow for flexo label printers who have outgrown basic RIPs and need more automation. It embeds powerful trapping and step & repeat software from sister company HYBRID Software within the Navigator Workflow product.
