Hamburg/Bönningstedt—vjoon, a global leader in digital content management solutions, presents seven DAM Version 4.1. The latest release of the next-generation digital asset management platform provides users with even more asset import capabilities, enhances configuration options for admins, and supports security-related updates to Adobe InDesign, InCopy, and InDesign Server.

The new release is now available for delivery via your respective integration partners.

Even more features for asset import

When importing large amounts of assets, for example the result of a photo shoot, consistent metadata is essential for the central management of the assets. Certain information applies to all images, including image credits, copyrights, the client name and the subject of the campaign shoot. Without a lot of extra effort, you want this captured directly upon import.

In seven, you can now create lists of metadata fields in advance that will be prepopulated with the appropriate information and applied to all assets during import. This allows metadata to be captured consistently and easily, even when importing large quantities of assets.

In addition, entire folder structures including their assets can be directly imported via the browser-based seven client. Organizations still managing complex folders structures with substantial data on file servers or cloud services can quickly and easily import them into seven, allowing the folders to become nodes in seven. As such, users will benefit from extended search and filter options of a modern DAM while being able to maintain their familiar way of working.

Enhanced configuration options

The options for changing the configuration have also been enhanced in the latest version of seven. Areas that usually represent company divisions, customers or projects in seven can now be created, edited, duplicated or even deleted with ease. This also includes assigning the appropriate access rights to users in seven. This functional enhancement increases the responsiveness and convenience of digital asset managers and DAM admins who frequently have to make such changes, often at short notice.

Support for the latest versions of integrated solutions

vjoon seven 4.1 supports Adobe InDesign, InCopy, and InDesign Server version 17.4, which includes important security fixes from Adobe.

In addition, seven 4.1 is compatible with the latest version 13 of K4, vjoon‘s powerful publishing system used by well-known customers worldwide.
