The 2022 version release brings to market major enhancements in terms of speed and productivity.

ARM Support

Ultimate Impostrip® v.2022.2 delivers support for Apple ARM Processors (M1/M2). Ultimate Impostrip®’s macOS/windows 64bit cross platform futureproofs print businesses by allowing printers to move from one system to another or to upgrade to a newest version without going through an inevitable technology change in their imposition software. Now supporting Apple ARM Processors (M1/M2), users can easily move from an Intel based Macintosh to an ARM based one to experience a boost in imposition speed and performance.

“Based on internal testing, we have seen potential speed increases of up to 38% on ARM machines over Rosetta emulation processing”, says Andrew Bailes-Collins, Head of Product Management at Ultimate TechnoGraphics. “Users with complex and large pagination files like transactional and direct mail printers doing variable data printing will experience the greatest gains, and we are excited to showcase this enhancement next week in Las Vegas.”

Job Priorities

This latest version of Ultimate Impostrip® also provides key automation capability and imposition workflow flexibility by allowing job prioritizing, a feature in popular demand. Now when using Ultimate Impostrip® Scalable, users can set job priority either in the interface or via XML job ticketing and adjust it to manage changes in production.

“Our high-volume customers need to get jobs out the door quickly and priorities may change throughout the day. This is why we have now made it possible to change the order of jobs processed on the fly.” adds Bailes-Collins.

Imposition Intelligence

Ultimate Impostrip®’s Imposition Agent makes the best imposition selection in a completely automated way. Based on a set of rules, the Imposition Agent understands and automatically imposes the incoming jobs based on the type of printed product that is being produced. Now in this latest version, jobs running through the Imposition Agent are processed even faster thanks to optimization improvements.

This new version also delivers a completely automated finishing system for the B2 digital printing market by integrating with the new Duplo DuSense DDC-8000 digital spot UV coating and foiling machine and Duplo DC-20K B2 cutter. More details about this integration to come.
