WhatTheyThink Announces Retirement of Kelley Holmes

Press release from the issuing company

WhatTheyThink today announced that Kelley Holmes will retire at the end of the year after thirty years of service to the industry.

Holmes joined WhatTheyThink in 2018 as part of the acquisition by WhatTheyThink of Printing News. Since that time, she has been responsible for helping integrate a printed magazine into the WhatTheyThink digital offerings. "Kelley has served the printing industry media for three decades and her contributions to growing the WhatTheyThink business is greatly appreciated," said Eric Vessels, President & CEO of WhatTheyThink. "On behalf of the entire WhatTheyThink team, we wish her all the best."

“It was a pleasure working with the WhatTheyThink team for the past four years. I look forward to watching WhatTheyThink continuing the journey of being the go-to source of information for the printing industry. Personally, the time has come for me to focus on my family and our personal business ventures. I treasure all the friendships made in the past 30 years and will enjoy keeping up with everyone on social media and other channels.”

With the acquisition by the Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech) in June, WhatTheyThink continues its mission of being the trusted, go-to source of information for the global printing industry. Kelley was instrumental in helping grow an even stronger team by coaching, mentoring and passing along her deeper knowledge of the mechanics of a publishing business. She will be missed.

The team structure going forward will include the following roles:

  • Eric Vessels will assume the role of President & CEO, primarily responsible for the strategic vision, revenue, and strategy of WhatTheyThink.
  • Adam Dewitz will assume the role of Executive Vice President & CTO, primarily responsible for defining and executing business and content strategy and leading platform development.
  • Richard Romano will continue as Managing Editor, primarily responsible for editorial content management and production.
  • Debbie Papineau will assume the role of Client Engagement & Project Coordinator, primarily responsible for client project management.
  • Amy Noble will assume the role of Production Editor, Content Development, primarily responsible for content management, development, email newsletters, and social media content manager.
  • Jessica Taylor will assume the role of Production Editor, Multimedia, primarily responsible for video and audio content production, copyediting, and magazine production.
  • Stephanie Papp will continue as Account Executive, primarily responsible for sales and business development.
  • Adam Goldman will continue his recently announced role of Account Executive, primarily responsible for sales and business development.

This outstanding core operational team will be augmented by our stable of highly qualified, respected and knowledgeable individual contributors our members have come to depend on.

"WhatTheyThink celebrates 22 years of service to the industry this year. We are in the best position in the history of the business to live up to our ideals of informing, educating, and inspiring the global printing industry," Vessels said. "Our team is solid and organized in a collaborative fashion that positions us well for success going forward."
