Epson and ScanSource to Host Fall “Label Summit” for Partner Resellers and VARs

Press release from the issuing company

Three-Day Event for Training on Label Printers, Label Design Software and Top Media Solutions

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. – Epson today announced it will be hosting a ColorWorks® training event for partners at its U.S. headquarters in Orange County, Calif., with ScanSource, a leading hybrid distributor connecting devices to the cloud. The three-day event, from Sept. 19-21, will focus on exclusive training, featuring label design software from Epson ColorWorks label partners, along with top media producers.

“We look forward to having the opportunity to showcase Epson’s industry-leading solutions to our partners, while also providing insight into the tools, programs and educational opportunities ScanSource provides in support of these solutions,” said Ansley Hoke, senior vice president of marketing, ScanSource, Inc. “We are excited to network with our partners at Epson’s headquarters and uncover new opportunities for growth and success.”

The event will include BarTender® label design software training from Epson label partner Seagull Scientific, as well as information from vendor partner DTG and top media producers General Data Company, Inc. and Mactac. The educational event was designed exclusively for value-added resellers and offers a deep dive into the Epson ColorWorks on-demand color label printer products. Training topics will include:

  • Partner marketing support and custom configuration capabilities
  • Color label overview and Epson’s leadership in on-demand labels
  • Introduction to performance materials and adhesives
  • Creating compliant, intelligent templates for specific industries
  • Hands-on printer training for amazing customer demos

“These in-person events are really important. Our reseller partners get concentrated, in-depth, hands-on training with the printers, software and media – seeing firsthand how all the critical components work together,” said Victor Gomez, director, Industrial Labels, Epson America, Inc. “We are excited to welcome folks to our Orange County headquarters for training and networking.”

The event specifically offers training for Epson’s ColorWorks on-demand color label printers that offer flexibility for printing one or thousands of labels at a time. The full portfolio helps maximize efficiency and reduce obsolete inventory costs. Products demonstrated at the event will include Epson’s newest ColorWorks C4000 compact printer and the ColorWorks CW-C6000-series industrial label printers with auto cutter and peel-and-present models.

Attendees are also invited to an opportunity to tour Epson’s Technology Center in Carson, Calif. For additional information about Epson’s ColorWorks on-demand color label printers, visit epson.com/colorworks-color-label-printers.
