Denmark – Printers continue to experience difficulties securing sufficient materials due to the global paper shortage and the price of paper have increased significantly too. So, you must make the most of the paper that is available in stock. A recently added function in PrintVis called “Item Reservations” gives production an opportunity to control the paper stock in detail, reserve paper stock against a specific production order, and propose alternatives for similar paper.
When planning a print job in PrintVis, your Production Manager can use PrintVis to create official reservations for paper - or subsequent find replacements for those items. This can prevent scheduling snags caused by inadequate inventory.
By reserving paper that is already in stock ensures that it is not used on another order. This advantage gives you assurance that the order placed in the system can be delivered on time and on budget. The same type of paper in stock cannot be sold multiple times for other orders. If the same kind of paper is needed for another order, the system will suggest useful alternatives that can be advantageously used for production instead and you make use of items in your inventory.
