The Board of Directors of Gretag-Macbeth Holding AG, headquartered in Regensdorf, Switzerland, will propose to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on May 3, 2001 that the company be renamed Amazys Holding AG. This name change is the next logical step in establishing a new identity and foundation for long term growth in the global color management market. In particular, the new name, Amazys Holding AG, is intended to support a clear positioning in the capital market. The Group's well-established brand name GretagMacbeth and those of its subsidiaries LOGO, Viptronic and Talia Tecnoequipe will continue to be used in the marketplace. Subject to shareholder approval, the GretagMacbeth Group will introduce the new name Amazys Holding AG for the holding company headquartered in Regensdorf, Switzerland, shortly after the Annual General Meeting on May 3, 2001. Furthermore, the Board of Directors will propose a stock split of 1:10 and the creation of additional conditional capital of CHF 450,000 or 15,000 shares with a nominal value of CHF 30.00 for employee stockoptions. The total conditional capital of the company will therefore amount to CHF 1,361,250.
