New features provide print buyers with the ability to submit complete print jobs to the printer over the Internet, as well as perform interactive remote proofing and online collaboration of rasterized data using the Smart Review and Team Review technologies. The InSite portal now supports both the Brisque and Prinergy workflow solutions. CreoScitex InSite is an integrated suite of Internet tools. InSite enables printers to provide their customers with new services, such as the ability to perform remote proofing of files and pages, to approve or reject pages, and to submit change requests in real time over the web. All transactions are logged to ensure proper follow-up and accurate accounting and billing. No special tools are required for the print buyer other than access to the Internet and an Internet browser. InSite's new features include: Smart Review is an interactive proofing technology that allows users to view the rasterized production files at full resolution without lengthy downloads. Smart Review renders data on the fly and delivers only the pixels needed, over the web to the display. This enables the operator to quickly zoom, pan or rotate the image. Smart Review includes a full set of annotation tools for marking up pages to flag issues and request changes. Team Review is a new tool for online collaboration on pages or individual data files. Participants located anywhere in the world can simultaneously view files or pages, annotate content, view each others' annotations in real time, and approve or reject pages. Each user's view is continuously updated to reflect any changes that are made by any participant in the session. Like a video chat room, each participant can type notes or draw lines on the page, which are visible to each participant, under moderator control. The moderator can pass control to another participant to remotely manipulate the view of particular pages or images. All comments, whether made during the current session or at another time, are registered in the InSite database for future reference. Job Submission allows a print buyer to submit complete print jobs via the Internet directly from their desktop into the prepress department of the printer. Complete jobs are submitted quickly and easily, without the need for media for storing files, or couriers for delivering them. Jobs are compressed and encrypted for a quick and secure file transfer to the InSite server at the printer's facility. Any new, late closing or single changed pages can also be uploaded. InSite allows printers to provide new and exciting services to their customers. By linking the customer more closely with the prepress department, InSite provides print buyers with the ability to more easily and rapidly proof and approve files, submit change requests, and gives them secure and controlled visibility into their job and its status in prepress production.
