Luxury specialist papermaker Fedrigoni partners with HP Spark to offer free digital printing workshops for creatives and designers
Luxury specialist papermaker Fedrigoni has partnered with HP Spark to host a number of free digital printing workshops for creatives and designers this month at its London-based studio and exhibition space at 67 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1R 5BL.
From 14 – 22 July 2022, the workshops will provide creatives – including designers, coders, artists or just the creative curious – the license to explore a new kind of software that unites the beauty of technical computer coding with art.
The workshops will be run by Oswin Tickler, a graphic designer and educator, who pioneered this new printing technology known as HP Spark. His software is a culmination of a creative experiment exploring how coding and algorithms can be creatively visualised beyond complex strings of letters and numbers into beautiful design – from maps and constellations to landscapes – demonstrating an entirely new medium and method for creating.
Participants of the free exclusive workshops will be able to take away a copy of their creation, printed by print partner FE Burman on a selection of quality Digital HP Indigo certified paper provided by Fedrigoni, to frame, hang and showcase.
Ian Braithwaite, Commercial Manager at Fedrigoni, commented: “These workshops provide a space for creatives to experiment with a new and innovative medium and understand further the strong interplay between the paper materials and printing processes used to produce unique and striking art. Thanks to our vast collection of HP Indigo certified products, choosing a high-quality, creative paper for your digitally printed projects has never been easier.”
Workshops are by appointment only on 15,18 and 22 July, 10am – 12:30pm or 2pm – 4:30pm. Private viewing will be hosted on 14 July 6pm – 9pm.
