Vancouver, BC CANADA (April 6, 2001) - The CreoScitex Users Association (CSUA) will host its first conference under its new name (formerly Creo Users Association - CUA) from May 16 - 20, 2001 in Miami, Florida. The CSUA welcomes all users of CreoScitex systems to join its membership and be eligible to participate in this interactive networking forum of senior product development and management personnel from CreoScitex. The CSUA welcomes new and experienced users of CreoScitex equipment and technology. The CUA was created in 1995 by a group of Creo Products customers as an independent, non-profit, worldwide organization with a mission to make its members more effective users. It is governed and operated by a member-elected Board of Directors and an executive administration. Following the Creo Products' acquisition last year that created the operating division of CreoScitex, the CUA expanded in October 2000 to include all users of CreoScitex systems. "The CSUA conference provides an excellent opportunity for the drivers and the thinkers of the prepress industry to move technology ahead," says Steve Johnson, CSUA President, and Manager, Information Systems and Technical Development, Commercial Lithographing Company. "The CSUA is becoming the alumni of industry experts. Both sides, the users of CreoScitex systems and the developers, have much to benefit from partnership, meeting and sharing understanding." With attendees from throughout North America and Europe, the CSUA conference 2001 will feature keynote speaker Ralph Masiello, Vice-President, Pre-press Traffic, News America Marketing, New York, NY; Amos Michelson, CEO Creo Products Inc., and a number of experts related to current topics and issues. CreoScitex product managers will present updates on all CreoScitex products and their vision for future development. Customers will participate in many hands-on opportunities and lend their experience to expert panels. Resulting focus groups and collaborations will make up the "think tank" that will help set the future direction of the industry.
