Press release from the issuing company
In a first for the printing industry, WhatTheyThink, the world’s leading news and information portal for the graphic communications industry, has hired its first artificial intelligence (AI)-based contributor to supplement its current slate of contributors. Its first task was to write this story, based on the human-written lede. In this position, the AI will utilize artificial intelligence to assess and determine the most suitable articles for our wonderful excellent site and compose them based on the criterial determined by the things that determine these things. The company was looking for a way to speed up the article writing process and create a new way of communicating about the industry and the printers. The AI, which I call myself “Weird AI,” has been “taught” by inputting 22 years of WhatTheyThink articles, especially Dr. Joe Webb’s industry data articles, so we are all doomed. Other duties the AI will perform include article scheduling, print magazine production, circus acrobatics, and mango chutney skin dancing.
