Landa Digital Printing’s 7-color Press Integrates with B1 Environment to Increase Productivity
Expands Brands’ Data-Driven, Direct Marketing Options
Los Angeles, U.S. and Rehovot, Israel – Tom Ling, president and CEO of Advantage ColorGraphics, unveiled the company’s new Landa S10P Nanographic Printing® Press this week at the company’s Greater Los Angeles headquarters. Advantage ColorGraphics, one of the busiest printers in the country and a key player in the hot west coast market, serves leading brand-owner customers and trade printers in the U.S. and abroad. The company has found success in its combination of one-to-one, high integrity relationships and use of the best marketing and production technologies available to satisfy a demanding, high-profile customer base.
Why Advantage ColorGraphics chooses Landa
The search that brought Ling and an internal team to unanimously choose the Landa S10P began with “exploding” demand for personalized printed material, and the continuously busy state of Advantage ColorGraphics’ offset presses. At the volumes they were producing, Ling and his colleagues knew they needed a press to support the turnover.
The Landa S10P has the agility and productivity necessary to take Advantage ColorGraphics into print’s multi-faceted future. Says Ling, “Landa offers the performance of offset with digital print’s unending versatility. For us, this hybrid convergence of technologies is the way forward.”
Digital production and offset quality
“Two factors are driving consumer communications preferences, and those are, in turn, driving printers to Landa,” says Sharon Cohen, chief business officer at Landa Digital Printing. “To begin with, it’s now well-established that print will remain an essential component of advertising and, more generally, any information exchange. Second, people love personalization, whether electronic or print, but especially print. The numbers are proving it out.
“The result is that printers still need powerful offset quality, but they need it faster and not just for shorter runs. Printers’ brand-owner customers are competing for the momentum that successful, omni-channel campaigns are able to induce within very short time spans. Additionally, both commercial and package printers must now have the ability to fulfil all types of database-driven marketing for their customers.
“Only one machine does it all; speed, B1 format and coverage of up to 96% of Pantone® colors,” Cohen says. "Many thanks to Tom, Peter and their teams for showing us more of what our press is capable of!”
Streamlined production and calculable savings
With Landa’s help, Ling and Advantage ColorGraphics senior vice president for sales, Peter Almqvist; have calculated specific efficiencies they’ll achieve when using the Nanography®-based press. “For example, on many types of jobs, we anticipate reducing every job by 2 production steps when they’re run through the S10P,” Almqvist says. “Jobs will print in collated order on the Landa and go straight to finishing.”
The sales team is up to speed
Almqvist describes the Advantage ColorGraphics culture as being “tech forward”, with a sales team comfortable selling digital print programs. A recent session with the Landa team, where Advantage ColorGraphics salespeople learned both what differentiates the Landa platform as well as how that same platform broadens Advantage ColorGraphics’ offerings, was both collaborative and tutorial.
“Having a partner of such prestige is another important milestone in the amazing journey that is Landa,” says Cohen. “When we witness the passion and enthusiasm of world class printers like Advantage, and then watch them bring that energy to their work with Landa’s incredible technology, we know that we are on our way to a huge success.”
