Fort Orange Press Adds W+D 410 Easy Enveloper to its Vote-By-Mail Operations

Press release from the issuing company

Lenexa, Kansas - W+D, the leading manufacturer of envelope converting and vote-by-mail ballot inserting technology and Fort Orange Press Albany, NY, one of the nation’s leading full-service ballot and vote-by mail companies, jointly announce the purchase of a W+D 410 Easy Enveloper for in-house envelope converting. The 410EE envelope converting machine purchase comes on top of FOP’s recent purchases of the W+D BB820 (2x) and W+D BB700 S2 intelligent inserters to best serve the high integrity demands of the vote-by-mail industry.

Bobby Witko, President of Fort Orange Press, emphasizes “as a leader in vote-by-mail ballot solutions we constantly seek out and acquire the best-in-class means to provide confidentiality and integrity to the electoral wards and precincts. The W+D 410 Easy Enveloper helps us up the ante with anti-counterfeit measures like spot embossing for the outer envelope and hot melt peel & seal for the oath/reply envelope.” Andrew Schipke, W+D’s Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Sales, adds “the 410 Easy Enveloper has speeds up to 30,000 envelopes per hour and yet can still change envelope sizes in under an hour making the machine very responsive to last-minute design/copy changes and ‘drop dead’ mailing dates common in servicing the vote-by-mail marketplace.”

Jamie Dickinson, Vice President of Fort Orange Press, stresses the importance of having “a responsive and innovative partner like W+D that can offer us a complete mailing solution from envelope creation to final insertion – it helps us all sleep at night.” Michael Ring, President of W+D North America adds, “W+D also brings best-in-class high-speed inkjet overprinting to the vote-by-mail market and unparalleled field technical service support with continued machine training for all of our products. This comprehensive portfolio of products and services is why in last US general election nearly 85% of the for profit mail-in ballots were produced on W+D intelligent inserters and 100% of the envelopes were produced from W+D converting machines.”
