Boelte-Hall Invests in Komori’s Impremia IS29 to Expand Into New Markets

Press release from the issuing company

Rolling Meadows, IL—Komori America—Boelte-Hall, a Kansas-based commercial printer, has purchased a Komori Impremia IS29 sheetfed UV inkjet printing system. A long-time customer of Komori, with two Lithrone 28-inch presses on its floor, Boelte-Hall chose the 29-inch inkjet press to complement its mainstream offset, expanding the ability to economically produce variable short-run, high-quality color printing not economically feasible on a traditional press.

“We invested in this press to enhance our efficiency and expand our capabilities. Like most printers, we were working in a dual world, with both a digital and litho presence. However, that dual world totally changed with this new press. The IS29 performs like both, bringing in a whole new conversation about reaching markets we couldn’t touch before,” said Garrett Shropshire, co-owner of Boelte-Hall. “Its ability to run a larger sheet size on a variety of substrates significantly reduces set up time and material cost, shaving off between one half or one whole day out of the process. The advanced features of the IS29 are significantly changing the way we work and what we can creatively offer customers.”

A large part of Boelte-Hall’s business involves direct mail and catalog work for major agricultural and pharmaceutical companies. An important benefit the IS29 brings to Boelte-Hall is its ability to deliver color matching that rivals offset for this type of repeat business where an exact color match is critical. As a company that adheres to G7® standards through its processes, the IS29 alleviates any concerns in managing consistent brand identity and color assets. Additionally, the UV capabilities of the press support the company’s goal of overall pressroom efficiency by making it possible to get projects out the door in record time, while reducing waste through the use of less consumables, as well as energy.

“We are confident that Boelte-Hall will enjoy the benefits of its investment in the Impremia IS29,” said Charlie Lahr, manager of inkjet solutions for Komori America. “The unique capabilities of this press will make it possible to expand the creative solutions the company already offers its customers. We also are confident the IS29 will meet the company’s goal for raising both efficiency and profits with the advanced technology inherent in the IS29.”
