Armonk, New York - Automated Marking Inc. (AMI), a marking and coding solutions provider, announced today that it has reached an agreement with WCS Coding to become their exclusive North American distributor. The announcement comes just months after AMI began to carry the Zenjet thermal inkjet printers.

AMI will be the exclusive distributor in North America for the full Zenjet product portfolio including the Dynamic and the IP65 rated Zenjet Ultra thermal inkjet printers as well as proprietary inks. Both inline TIJ printers are robust in their construction, use HP cartridges and deliver high quality, reliable code with a low cost per print and best in class 10 year warranty.

The Zenjet Dynamic thermal inkjet (TIJ) printer is single head, compact and practical, perfect for manufacturing environments. It has a print height up to 1/2″ (12.7mm) and can print multiple lines, barcodes, images and is made out of anodized aluminum.

The Zenjet Ultra is IP65 rated, providing complete protection against water, moisture, dust and harsh environments. In comparison to other TIJ printers on the market, where only the controller is IP65 rated, the stainless steel Ultra actually protects the whole printer and cartridge right on the production line. It is capable of printing up to 1/2″ print height and can print barcodes and images.

No maintenance contracts are necessary for these printers as they have no moving parts and come with a HP cartridge-based system with a built-in microcontroller.
