Milford, OH: More than 100 of the association’s members attended TLMI’s recent Committee Summit held December 2-3 in Austin, TX. During her welcome address, TLMI President, Linnea Keen, kicked off the Summit by summarizing the association’s achievements and successes over the past year including the Virtual Spring Summit, the Annual Board Planning Session, the association’s Annual Meeting, the launch of a new website, the integration of a new AMS (Association Management System), and the recently launched online member portal, Community.
In her welcome address Keen told attendees, “TLMI has tremendous admiration in the greater printed packaging industry and there’s a reason for that. That reason is our membership and the ongoing dedication that people like you have to this association by attending events like this one and lending your voice to TLMI’s strategic focus for the coming year. Our committees remain at the heart of this association and a central force in how we shape the offerings that deliver our membership value.”
Among the Summit’s delegates were 40 first-time attendees, including representatives from nine companies that are new to the association in 2021. The TLMI committees represented at the Summit were Technical, Government & Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Sustainability, Workforce Development and Membership. During the two-day event, committee co-chairs led their respective groups through in-depth planning sessions, laying the groundwork for each committee’s priorities and goals for the year ahead.
TLMI Chairman, Lori Campbell, comments, “When we initially decided to move the Committee Summit from its usual January date to December, we were uncertain how many people would be able to break away from their companies during such a busy time of year to attend. The fact that more than 100 members took time to travel to Austin and to come together on behalf of TLMI shows the dedication our members have to this association, and I want to express my sincerest thanks to each and every attendee. While our industry continues to do extremely well in the face of ongoing uncertainty, converters and suppliers coming together in this way to talk about their own unique challenges and opportunities and to help shape TLMI’s future is such a critical part of this association’s success. I look forward to 2022 and to seeing how each committee implements the creative ideas and priorities that came out of the summit that will undoubtedly enhance TLMI’s value to its members even more.”
