Worzalla joins United Way of Portage County’s annual campaign to support local community
Stevens Point, Wisconsin—Worzalla, an employee-owned book printer specializing in printing high-quality children’s books, movie tie-in books and cookbooks, raised over $50,000 for the United Way of Portage County’s Live United, Give United campaign. Money raised for the campaign will go to United Way programs that help Portage County families in need.
“Worzalla associates are good neighbors and are consistently inspired to support the community. Once again, our associates came together to raise funds for the United Way of Portage County,” said Brett O’Sullivan, Worzalla’s United Way Campaign Coordinator. “With a mission of bringing people and resources together to achieve measurable results that improve people’s lives and strengthen our community, the United Way continues to support the new and ongoing challenges the less fortunate face.”
To inspire associates to support the campaign, Worzalla ran a giveaway for various prizes like paid time-off, premier parking spots, gift cards, fun prizes, and entry into the Portage County Sweepstakes. Among the nearly 20 winners were Joe Omernik, Diane Landowski and the grand prize winner was Brian Deuel.
One of the United Way’s primary focuses is education and literacy, which Worzalla cares deeply about. Year-round Worzalla supports literacy and learning efforts throughout Portage County, such as supporting area schools, donating books, and sponsoring community events. For example, in September Worzalla participated in the United Way’s Project Fresh Start donating 500 pounds of school supplies to Portage County schools.
Worzalla prints many popular children’s books and is best known for being the domestic manufacturer of the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Worzalla is currently hiring for many positions in a variety of roles at the company, more information can be found at Worzalla.com/Careers.
